Hamta graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) degree in 2011 from the Management and Science University. Hamta worked as a Medical Scientist prior to entering the Intellectual Property (IP) field in 2015, and since then has gained invaluable experience and exposure in practice, and developed her knowledge and skills in handling patent and trade mark-related matters.
Hamta’s current scope of work primarily covers clearance searches and prosecution of applications in Malaysia and overseas. She helps address trade mark registrability, application formalities and substantive issues, with the aim of ensuring that brand owners are effectively protected. Hamta has also actively participated in IP events and seminars organised by various companies and institutions.
Work aside, Hamta is passionate about exploring nature, as well as participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and marathon running.
